Welcome to my blog. I plan to do occasional posts before I set off and then every
few days on the trip.
On May 12th 2012 I will be dipping the rear wheel of my bike
into the Pacific Ocean
in Los Angeles and heading for the Atlantic in Boston.
I am funding the trip myself, however I am seeking sponsorship for The Multiple Sclerosis
Society. Please consider supporting my sponsorship by clicking on the "Sponsor me " link.
Note all of your donation will be going to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

I am looking forward to this great challenge and hope you find my blog of interest.
Please enter your email details on the right to receive updates. Thanks

104 miles into marysville Ohio

We started the day with an excellent breakfast, pancakes and grits. A good base for 104 mile ride. We soon crossed the state line into Ohio.

We are into Amish country as the sign shows.

We passed a group of Amish girls playing softball.

I am told that the orange triangles on he back of their buggies has been controversial as they were unhappy having this modern addition.

We stopped at a pleasant small town at 42 miles for refreshment.

Here is Tracy who runs the company no doubt sorting some details for us.
Her level of organisation is quite amazing.

The ride was very pleasant, however we experienced rain during the last 20 minutes. The first rain of the tour. It was fine as the temperature was around 80F.

Overall a good day.

A own sign I saw a few days ago. Cannot see that in the uk!
