Welcome to my blog. I plan to do occasional posts before I set off and then every
few days on the trip.
On May 12th 2012 I will be dipping the rear wheel of my bike
into the Pacific Ocean
in Los Angeles and heading for the Atlantic in Boston.
I am funding the trip myself, however I am seeking sponsorship for The Multiple Sclerosis
Society. Please consider supporting my sponsorship by clicking on the "Sponsor me " link.
Note all of your donation will be going to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

I am looking forward to this great challenge and hope you find my blog of interest.
Please enter your email details on the right to receive updates. Thanks

Arrived in Oklahoma

A picture from a few days ago

- last night everyone was very tired after two really tough days.

However a good nights sleep and we were ready to go.

A pretty flat 71 miles out of Texas into Oklahoma.

Everything is big in Texas

We crossed into Oklahoma

Saw this pick up truck which really appealed to me.

We had our first cloudy day, which felt strangely pleasant with temperatures only reaching low 80's.

Whilst we had a head wind most of the way in, it was not strong and we had a five man pace line working well. Overall it felt like a recovery day in many ways, which seems odd as we did do 71 miles.

A lot more energy to do some washing, bike maintenance and generally moving around with some energy.
